First Visit

On your first visit to our dental office, we will discuss and work with you to develop a suitable dental treatment plan that matches your particular needs and budget. Bring your current insurance card if you have dental insurance coverage. If you don’t have an insurance card, you should note your subscriber number, your group number, and your phone number. We will need this information to save time and to enable us lend the assistance you’ll need in processing your insurance claim. On your visit visit, we will discuss your oral care needs. For most patients, the first visit includes a thorough teeth cleaning as part of treatment. We will also most likely take the crucial photographs and radiographs of your mouth so that we can properly develop accurate diagnoses and plan the most effective treatment solutions.

Important Reminders

Younger patients who are not yet 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on their first visit. If you’re on any medications, you should inform us of this right away as this may affect your treatment. These medications include heart medications, anticoagulant therapy, or even aspirin. You should also tell us if you’ve been diagnosed with any medical condition. These conditions include high blood pressure (hypertension), diabetes, and rheumatic fever. These conditions will affect the kind of procedures we can best suggest to help with your oral care. In addition, you should also inform us if you have artificial joints and heart valves.

Concerning Radiographs

If your doctor or your previous dentist has taken any X-rays within the last year, please have them sent to our dental office. The information they contain can help us with your oral health care. Any digital radiograph can simply be sent to us as an attachment to an email message. Additional films can be sent to our office.
